A Welcome Note
Welcome to Highlands Christian High School. My name is Vernita Sheley and I am the Highlands Christian Schools Superintendent. We are excited to be in our 5th coming year of high school.
Our goal is to partner with parents by working together to provide students a quality education founded on biblically based truths. It is our desire that each student will grow in his or her personal relationship with Jesus Christ and that Christianity will remain a vital part of their lives throughout adulthood.
Students in our first graduating class (2008) have been accepted at various colleges and universities that include Wheaton College in Illinois, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Irvine, UC Davis, Azusa Christian College, Bethany College, University of Puget Sound, California Polytechnic State University, San Francisco State, University of San Francisco and San Jose State. We will miss them but we are delighted to see them pressing forward in their educational pursuits.
HCCP is dual accredited in that we are certified by WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). We also have courses on the University of California A-G listing.
Our highly qualified teaching staff is well informed of the needs and changes of today’s teen society. They are personable and willing to offer their expertise in and out of the classroom. We stand ready to assist you in your educational goals for your child.
